If you are the owner of a beautiful and unique stretch ceiling, then in terms of caring for it, you are very lucky. It is quite simple and does not require special financial investments, as well as special knowledge. In other words, in order for your ceiling to have an impeccable appearance, you do not have to make a lot of effort.

At its core, a stretch ceiling is a smooth film. Unlike plaster, there can be no cracks on it that would collect dust, and it tolerates moisture perfectly. In addition, the stretch ceiling has antistatic properties, due to which dust is reluctant to settle on them.

But, nevertheless, in order for your stylish stretch ceilings to please you with their unsurpassed brilliant appearance for a long time, you need to regularly clean them.

There are two ways to clean stretch ceilings: dry and wet. Let’s consider each of them in more detail.

one. Dry cleaning. Basically, it is carried out using a conventional vacuum cleaner. And in the fight against small contaminants, an ordinary clerical eraser comes to the rescue.

2. Wet cleaning. In this case, it is assumed the use of different detergents that can eliminate various types of pollution.

Both in the first and in the second case there are those nuances that must be observed:

• Firstly, when cleaning the stretch ceiling, you should not use piercing and cutting objects, in other words, you should not clean any dirt with a knife or any other sharp object. As mentioned above, a clerical eraser does an excellent job with stains. As for rust spots that form in case of leaks, they must be removed immediately, without allowing them to dry, using a damp cloth.

• Secondly, to wipe the stretch ceiling, you should use a soft cloth, an ideal option for this purpose is a colorless flannel. You can apply detergent on a cloth, but be sure to check that the detergent does not include abrasive substances, otherwise they can ruin the thin layer of Teflon, which is responsible for the smoothness and strength of the ceiling.

Soap solution can be used as a detergent. You can get it by diluting a small amount of detergent with warm water, the water temperature should range from 30 to 40 degrees. The resulting solution must wipe the ceiling. The remains of the soap composition from the ceiling, after its application, must be removed with a damp cloth. After completing all the described manipulations, the ceiling should be wiped with a dry flannel to completely remove moisture from it. As a result of such cleaning, your stretch ceiling will shine again, as if it had just been installed.
